The parishes of Norway - vol. II Hamar bishopric |
In 1919 did the publishing firm
E.Sem in Fredrikshald print a book called:
"Norges prestegjeld - II Hamar bispedømme". This book
gives information from each parish in Hamar bishopric put together
by the curate in Rakkestad parish, J.F.Sandberg.
The pages from 12 to 48 deals with the 8 parishes in the Hedmarken
area. We have scanned these pages and put them
here.

Register for Furnes bygdebok Vol. I which
contain farms and families in Furnes is now on our pages. We
hope this can be helpful when searching farm names in Furnes.
Unfortunately the cotter places are not mentioned in the book
except for the names below each farm. The family stories
can therefore be defective. The other volumes of Furnes bygdebooks
contain common history.

January 7, 2004 - Extra-tax for 1762/64. |
Beside the computer registration
of the churchbooks we are working with other sources. The Extra
Tax (Ekstraskatten) 1762/64 contain for Hedmarken a lot of information
about persons. For the population older than 12 years, it is
close to a complete census. It is therefore an important source
which few have used so far. Especially for the parish Romedal
where the churchbooks before 1785 is missing. The society purchased
a copy of this source from Riksarkivet. Løten, Nes, Romedal
and Stange are already computer registrated, still working on
Furnes/Vang and Ringsaker. As sson as we have read proof we
will publish the material as booklets.
